– Our Work –
Displaced Afghans
Afghans continue to be one of the highest populations of displaced persons, with millions of diaspora. Morning Star has supported displaced Afghans internationally, in conjunction with our partners, through emergency relief, education, and skills development necessary for integration. Our assistance initiatives provide the Afghan diaspora with the training they need to assimilate and thrive in their new environments.
USA
Since 2021 more Afghans have arrived in America than at any time in US history. Many organizations across the country reached out to Morning Star to receive help in welcoming these new Afghan neighbors. In response to this need, we launched a national equipping, mobilizing, and networking platform which supports individuals and organizations to engage and serve Afghans in culturally sensitive and relevant ways.

Relief and Development
Historically, Morning Star has supported relief and development programs to meet immediate needs in neighboring countries. These programs have included secondary education, trauma care, language acquisition classes, leadership development, food aid, medicine, youth sports programs, and job training.

“This is the first time I’ve been to school in the last five years.”
– Zakia, a displaced Afghan student of a Morning Star Development program in India (2017)
